Getting Things Done with Notion is my popular online program that shows you how to implement David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD) system for Notion… so you can take immediate control—and stay on top of—your personal productivity… more fully and easily in your everyday life and work.
Even if… You haven’t read Getting Things Done by David Allen… Or know anything about GTD.
Even if… You’re new to Notion…
Even if… You’ve tried other productivity systems but failed to create meaningful change in your life.
Before I tell you more about Getting Things Done with Notion and how it can help you gain perspective on your work, let me share a personal story…
The Book That Changed My Life (Forever)
In 2017, I joined a fast-growing tech company to manage and grow and manage its marketing blog.
And due to the work volume I needed to manage, I went online and bought what many consider the best productivity book ever written…
Getting Things Done by David Allen.
Before starting, I read the entire book and applied what I learned in the following months.
And as a result, I became known as the most productive person at the company.
From closing tasks on time to planning projects more thoroughly, I felt a clarity of mind I had never experienced before at work.
I was efficient as I was effective.
And when I implemented GTD in my personal life… I felt a familiar sense of stress-free productivity.
But, over time, I ran into a problem:
I couldn’t find a platform that offered everything I wanted.
Trello had Kanban views but lacked bi-directional linking.
Evernote was a great note-taking app but, over time, became buggy and unreliable.
I was about to accept that I would never find an app that would give me all the needed features…
But then I found Notion.
If you’re a longtime reader, you know I’m a big fan of Notion.
And with good reason:
Notion is the best note-taking and task-management app available today. Period.
Heck, even Mashable recently called Notion “the underrated productivity app that may change your work life.”
And it’s not wrong.
I learned about the life-changing magic of Notion better than anyone.
In fact, today, I use Notion to manage my entire life, including:
Important to-dos…
Projects that move the needle in my life and work…
Online articles I want to read and refer to later…
A running inventory of thoughts, ideas, or projects that have my attention but first need “incubating…”
And that’s only the beginning.
In truth:
I’ve been using GTD in Notion for a long time now…
And I can honestly say that my Notion GTD setup has helped me achieve my biggest, most audacious goals, including (but not limited to):
- Building a career that I’m passionate about
- Growing my blog to 1.3 million+ visitors a year;
- Lifting more in the gym;
- Reading more;
- Renovating my home;
- Building a healthy work/life balance;
- Working on fun, creative projects like building a course;
And much, much more.
I’ve seen for myself what’s possible when using GTD in Notion… and I’m now ready to introduce a fresh take on GTD in the digital age… so you, too, can confidently take on whatever comes your way… and experience stress-free productivity.
Introducing: Getting Things Done with Notion
Getting Things Done with Notion is a practical, step-by-step guide for implementing David Allen’s GTD system for Notion.
Inside, I share the system I use daily to clear my head for creativity, focus my attention, and take action to get my biggest tasks and projects moving.
Here’s What’s Included…
Join Getting Things Done with Notion today, and you’ll get immediate access to 30+ in-depth videos, a prebuilt Notion template, bonus materials… and other over-the-shoulder tutorials that will show you how to achieve greater efficiency.
Let’s look at the program in more detail.
Part 1: How to Capture Everything That Has Your Attention
In Part 1, you’ll learn:
- The Inbox: how to capture your ideas, anything on your mind that you need to remember, and anything that has your attention. (Or how to clear your mind and regain control of your focus without distraction).
- How to save articles to read later with Notion’s Web Clipper. (There’s a reason I favor Notion over other read-later apps. I’ll explain why in Lesson 2.)
- The #1 way to capture all your “stuff” when you’re on the move. (If you’ve ever forgotten an idea before you had a chance to write it down, this lesson is for you.)
Part 2: How to Process Your Stuff (and Determine What to Do Next)
In Part 2, I’ll share:
- The four crucial questions that will help move your tasks and projects forward. (These four questions changed the game for me. And they will be for you, too. I guarantee.)
- How to process your “stuff” and move it to exactly where it needs to be. (I’ll share the six lists you need to overcome confusion, anxiety, and overwhelm.)
Part 3: How to Organize Your Stuff (So You Can Get to It When You Need It)
In Part 3, we’ll cover:
- Next Actions: How to keep track of all your tasks so you remember to make progress on the vital few things that matter. (One of my biggest a-ha moments.)
- The surprising reason most people don’t achieve their goals—and what to do instead. (*Hint* it involves planning what I call “PBNAs,” which I cover in Lesson 2.)
- How to use “Areas of Focus” to better manage your roles and responsibilities. I used to struggle with work/life balance. Then I implemented what I’ll show you in Lesson 3.
- My favorite way of ensuring I always follow up when needed. You’ll be surprised how easy this list is to manage. I’ll show you how in less than two minutes.
- A simple but powerful way of nurturing ideas over time. Watch as I use a real-life example to illustrate how I make important decisions. Plus, how I “incubate” ideas and remember to return to them when needed.
Part 4: How to Reflect on Your Work
In Part 4, you’ll learn:
- The Weekly Review: How to reflect and get caught up to stay on top of the things you want and need to do something about now. (I’ll also share the checklist I go through each week, which I adapted for Notion.)
Part 5: How to Engage with Your Work
In Part 5, I’ll share:
- You have a spare fifteen minutes before a meeting. What should you work on first? There are four factors to consider. In Lesson 1, I’ll discuss each in detail and when and how to think about them.
But That’s Not All…
If that wasn’t enough, I’ve also included several bonus resources to help you master the fundamentals of GTD in less than an hour, including:
Bonus 1: The GTD Dashboard ($97)
Included is my fully customizable GTD Dashboard template, which is the same dashboard I use in my everyday life.
With one exception, I have never made The GTD Dashboard publicly available until now.
(The GTD Dashboard was once sold as part of a Black Friday bundle back in 2020 that retailed at $247.)
Bonus 2: Behind-The-Scenes Bonuses
In the first iteration of the course, I rerecorded a number of over-the-shoulder tutorials of me doing the exercises I introduced in the course, including:
- Planning my working week;
- Emptying my Inbox; and
- Doing a Weekly Review
I’ve also included a new video sharing how I use GTD daily, including my three favorite use cases that I don’t mention elsewhere in the course.
Past students got a lot out of these fly-on-the-wall-style videos, and I know you will too.
Bonus 3: The GTD Vault
I recently rerecorded Getting Things Done with Notion in its entirety to reflect Notion’s latest updates.
However, given the feedback I got from past students, I decided to move my old lessons to what I’m calling “The GTD Vault.”
Inside, you’ll find additional videos of me sharing how to get more out of The GTD Dashboard in Notion, my favorite Notion tips, and more.
Bonus 4: Lifetime Access and Updates
Your enrollment in Getting Things Done with Notion comes with lifetime access to the course materials, including all future updates and upgrades, at no extra cost.
You see, even though Getting Things Done with Notion isn’t new, I regularly update the course based on my learnings, feedback from others, and best of all…
Notion’s many feature updates.
As crazy as it sounds, Notion recently hit a $2 billion valuation.
And that means it will continue releasing new and exciting features that will offer even greater flexibility with GTD.
Bonus 5: 30-Days of Unlimited Consulting Directly with Me
Your enrollment comes with 30 days of unlimited consulting (via email) directly with me.
In other words, I’ve got your back if you have any questions about GTD, Notion, or anything course-related.
Right now, I rarely take on new consulting projects. (I say no to almost all requests.)
But as a Getting Things Done with Notion student, you get direct access to me for 30 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can’t I find much of this information available online for free?
A: There’s a reason I built Getting Things Done with Notion and return to it bi-annually to update the videos:
Most of what’s available online is often broad and outdated.
Granted, you will likely find helpful articles and YouTube tutorials explaining how to set up GTD in Notion, including my own site.
But few, if any, in my experience, go through the finer nuances of GTD, including how to use Notion’s latest and newest features.
I’ve built what I believe to be the best, most definitive, and most up-to-date course for using GTD in Notion…
And I intend to keep it that way with each update.
Q: What will happen after I enroll?
A: After enrolling, you will receive an email with a unique link. With that link, you can access Gettings Done from Notion through your favorite web browser. (I recommend Google Chrome.)
Q: What is your refund policy?
As mentioned, included with Getting Things Done with Notion is my GTD Dashboard template, which is accessed via a link to a private Notion page. Once I share that link, I can’t revoke access if you decide the course is not for you.
As such, Getting Things Done with Notion is non-refundable. Bottom line: If you have any reservations, the course is not for you—especially if you have a tendency to make impulse purchases or enquire about refunds in general. Trust me on that.
Just One Final Reminder…
If you’ve made it this far, it’s obvious that you’re serious about taking control of your personal productivity.
The question is:
What will you do about it? Will you try to figure it out on your own?
Or will you invest in yourself and learn how to make things happen with less effort, stress, and inefficiency… and more clarity, control, and confidence?
Everything I’ve learned about managing my productivity and achieving focus, control, and perspective is in this program, laid out for you to follow step-by-step.
And now, it’s available for you.
I’m a Notion-certified expert with 4 years of experience using Notion. I’ve helped countless others master their productivity with Notion. I want to help you too.
